PreS–While walking in the woods one autumn morning, Little Bear and her mother find many treasures. The small cub discovers a glittering stone, a wild rose, a blue butterfly, and a feather caught in a spider's web. She declares each item to be the most precious thing in the whole wide world, but each time, her mother insists that a more precious article remains to be found. Of course, that special object turns out to be Little Bear herself. The plot is not a new one and the ending is predictable, but getting there is fun, and toddlers will enjoy pointing out the precious things on each page.
